“Hello Beautiful Spirits!
My name is Shaikirea Gordon, and I am delighted to introduce myself as I complete my Master’s degree at the Florida Institute of Technology, with aspirations to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). With three years of experience in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), I have had the privilege of serving in various roles, including Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), Administrative Assistant, and Clinical Assistant.
Throughout my career, I have worked in diverse environments such as group homes, schools, in-home settings, and clinics. My experience has equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of the unique challenges and strengths of children with special needs, particularly those who have experienced trauma. I am passionate about creating supportive and nurturing environments where these individuals can thrive and develop essential life skills.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from South University, which has provided me with a strong foundation in understanding human behavior and the complexities of mental health. While working in the ABA field, I have developed a range of skills, including behavior assessment, individualized treatment planning, and the implementation of evidence-based interventions tailored to the specific needs of each child. My commitment to fostering positive relationships with clients and their families has allowed me to make meaningful contributions to their developmental journeys.
When I’m not working or studying, I enjoy practicing yoga, engaging in outdoor activities like hiking and beach trips, and spending time immersed in nature. I believe that self-care and a connection to the earth enhance my ability to support and uplift others.
I am thrilled to join the Aerie family and look forward to the opportunity to contribute my unique skills to the team while continuing to grow and learn in this rewarding field. Thank you for the warm welcome, and I can’t wait to embark on this journey together!“
