Paddle Trek

June 8 – June 14

Campers on the Paddle Trek will explore the beautiful, natural waters of North Georgia and South Carolina. Our adventure begins with a day of flat-water instruction. Each camper will receive personal coaching and guidance while also developing their leadership and team-work skills and building rapport with their counselors. Campers progress from this personalized training to guided white water adventures. Together, we will scout the rapids, explore, fish, sing, swim, and play while celebrating our adventures, individual strengths, and new friendships. No previous paddling experience is needed or expected for this trip; this camp expedition is designed so that beginner paddlers can experience high adventure in a safe, protected, fun and loving environment.

In addition to our white water adventures, this program also includes all the usual Aerie shenanigans: Targets, fishing, arts and crafts, bad jokes, sweet gooey desserts, story telling, hugs, fires, old friends and new.  Our kiddos grow, learn, and love in an informed environment that teaches and nurtures.  Come stay where “quirky” is cool and “happy” is in.

Our comfortable Bunk House accommodations are complete with indoor showers and toilets, air conditioning, and a professional kitchen. We return in the evenings to these accommodations to share meals and spend time with our Aerie family.

For campers interested in a longer wilderness adventure, this camp can be combined with our Expressive Arts Camp (which is housed in the Oconee State Park) for a two-week experience.
