Vickie has lived in the State of Georgia in the Augusta area since 1989. Her career has been centered in the medical arena in Augusta and prior to that in the State of Michigan. She had the privilege of coordinating the intern and resident anesthesiology program, gastroenterology, school of nursing and cardiology. She then became a licensed EMT Intermediate and member of the National Registry. Vickie’s career and commitment gave her the opportunity to work exclusively in the Emergency Room and Clinical Decision Unit for 5 years.
After 9-1-1, Vickie joined the Georgia Disaster Medical Assistance Team in an effort to assist as needed in any disaster situations. She was then promoted and accepted a post with the Federal Government (FEMA and Department of Health and Human Services) on the Incident Response Coordinating Team. She is also still an active member of the local Medical Reserve Corps.
Vickie’s grandson is on the Spectrum and after discovering Aerie, has been a supporter for the 5 last years. She is more than happy to do her part!
