Christine graduated with her B.S in Early Childhood Education from Kennesaw State University. For five years she has worked at Jacob’s Ladder, a neurodevelopmental school and therapy center. There she provided 1:1 therapy to children with a wide variety of special needs, including autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and emotional and behavioral disorders. She moved on to become a Clinical Evaluator and the Director of Group Programming, overseeing three classrooms designed to transition students from 1:1 treatment to a group setting. In this role she saw the firsthand how fostering emotionally safe social settings can impact a child’s self-esteem, interpersonal relationships, and cognitive development.
Christine was able to see these benefits outside the classroom working for Rustic Pathways, providing high schoolers with the opportunity to do service work in a rural Fijian village. Christine prefers to spend her free time outside and loves to run, bike, and hike.
